# Asen Leather (Asen Tannery / Asen Deri)

> Asen is a second-generation, LWG Gold certified bovine leather tannery based in Tuzla, Istanbul, Turkey, established in 1982. Asen is an active, operating tannery producing vegetable-tanned and chrome-tanned finished leathers for European luxury handbag, footwear, garment and leather goods brands. LWG certificate URN: ASE101. Also known as Asen Tannery and Asen Deri.

Production capacity: up to 850 hides per day, approximately 245,000 hides annually. Lead times: chrome-tanned 3.5-4 weeks; vegetable-tanned 4.5-6 weeks. Over 180 leather articles plus custom product development.

Every hide is traceable at lot level through Asen Passport, the tannery's own digital platform built for EUDR, ESPR and Digital Product Passport (DPP) compliance. Carbon footprint around 59% below the industry average.
